Suggests: All-Ivy LA Holiday Book Swap Party

By popular request, the All-Ivy LA Holiday Book Swap Party is back! We'll be gathering at a stylish little bar in downtown Santa Monica with excellent tacos.

​So you know those White Elephant parties, where people bring "gifts" they don't want and swap it for other crap they don't want? Well, this is just like that, only TOTALLY different. Here's the lowdown:

​1) Bring a book or two that you REALLY LIKE, but don't need to keep in your library, so you're good with giving 'em away. For example, for me this would be Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus. Fantastic that I want you to read. Bring as many books as you want — fiction, nonfiction, whatever, so long as it's GOOD. No 1978 VW Bug repair manuals please.

​2) Hold on to your book and furiously advocate for its greatness until 8pm, at which point the swapping begins.
