Join Rideback Rise for an info session on their Y2 Fellowship Applications!

THE FELLOWSHIP

The RISE Fellowship identifies an annual

cohort of Fellows who are supported in a 12-

month Program financially, creatively, and

entrepreneurially to make commercial film

and television in an effort to propel narrative

change. Fellows are experienced writers,

filmmakers, and creative entrepreneurs from

throughout the industry.

ELIGIBILITY

◦ Be able to work in the U.S.

◦ Represented (manager, agent, or both)

◦ Experienced, mid-career: prior staffing experience and/or has written a

spec feature screenplay (either original or based on underlying

material) that was optioned or purchased by a recognized U.S.-based

producer, distributor or studio, and/or 1-2 produced independent or

studio-backed films, and/or has written/directed a short film that

screened at a notable film festival(s), and/or has been in or is currently

in active development on a project with a WGA-signatory organization

(such as a mini major, studio, network, etc.)

◦ LA-based or willing to temporarily relocate to LA for duration of Program

APPLICATION

◦ Resume

◦ Writing Sample (completed pilot or feature)

◦ 3 commercial, scripted Film/TV ideas (any genre; animation welcome) in

one-pager format (original ideas or IP-based;

rights to IP-based ideas must be available at the time of submission)

◦ 3 Industry Professional References

(2 supervisory, 1 direct report or peer)
